HOW DOES IT WORK?
In an ion boiler, the process of heating the heat carrier occurs at the price of ion conduction. While delivering thermal energy, positive and negative ions of the heat carrier flow to the respective electrodes.
WHY ion boilers?
There is a stereotype that electric energy is “too expensive” for heating. To some extent, this is acceptable, but with one caveat: this viewpoint only applies to TEN boilers that were utilised in systems with ordinary water. The surface of the TEN (tubular heating element) quickly absorbed a heat-insulating coating of salt, and the boiler’s efficiency dropped to 70% or less. That is, inefficiently used energy. TEN became hot and immediately went out of service.
With ion (electrode) boilers, such deficiencies are not present. There is no transmission connection here – TEN; instead, system heating is derived directly from the electrical characteristics of a particular heat carrier that is injected into the system.
